It seems in the mid of March 09, Alexa changed its algorithm again for blogs and now the rankings are much more accurate for blogs which have very high number of blog feeds. Back in 2008, it seemed that alexa somehow wasn’t able to track traffic from feeds for this blog which resulted in huge alexa rank drop for some of very popular blogs on the net like Techcrunch.com (went from 650 to 8000), Mashable.com, ReadWriteWeb.com, SEOMoz, SEOBook, Problogger.net etc

Alexa ranking for such sites went from 5k to 35k and few of them were even at around 55k mark. But now it looks Alexa fixed this as I can again see all these sites back to their Pre 2008 Alexa positions. If you see Alexa ranking graph, you can see huge spike in rankings for these sites.
