Article2PDF is a utility plugin for wordpress which can export any post or page to a PDF file and on demand it can be moved to the browser as well. For this plugin you can set any PDF document to act as a template. The easiest method to generate a PDF template is using Open Office. Simply you can take a single page document and set the headers and footers or whatever you like to add. Once you are done first of all save it as an editable Open Office document and then export as PDF file. There is a nice small firefox add on which shows you the screenshot of the link without opening it. This is good if you are browsing the web from office and want to avoid suspicious looking links and images. Since the screenshot image is shown without opening the image url, it won’t get logged into log files.

There is a very common problem with wordpress and firefox caused by auto save. What happens is, when you are editing some post in firefox, suddenly the url get redirected and you start seeing white blank screen. The first time I saw it, I was like, what happened ?

But later with some digging I realized that this is caused by auto saving post. I am still not sure why triggers this but this wordpress problem of showing blank white screen in firefox is certainly caused by auto save feature.

To continue reviewing best wordpress plugins, the next one about which I am going to write is a very handy plugin if you have a very big blog. The Plugin is called History Manager and it shows a widget through which your blog visitors can see Latest posts, Recent Comments, categories and Archives in just small widget. Cuil was launched in the summer of 2008 so its almost one year of the huge PR exercise and media coverage Cuill had got. Everyone was talking about there 120 billion pages indexed which is three times bigger than google, how it is started with google’s ex-employees and how weird the name is and how to pronounce it so after almost a year, it doesn’t look like Cuill has gone very far.

As a search engine, I don’t see its results anyway closer to Google and infact I find yahoo and msn’s results way better then Cuil. I am not very comfortable with the presentation of Cuil either, may be they are offering something really good which is not required and is unwanted.

Wordpress Blogs by default gets Next Entries and Previous Entries as navigation option at the bottom of the page which is fine for small blogs but for huge blogs with lot of posts and which are regularly updated like this one, this navigation is not enough.
