Back in 2007, I had offered email list subscription and newsletter feature on one of my site using Aweber which probably is the best email list service with delivery rate of 99.9%+. Now the site wasn’t getting much traffic so I took off the list and newsletter feature from it as it was costing me $15 (or something, i don’t remember exactly) per month and I felt there is no point in keeping it when I even don’t have much traffic.

At that time I had done lot of research on these email list services providers and had asked lot of people to recommend me such services, now I am not able to remember all of them other then Aweber and emailaces (both were at same price back then) and I went with aweber because it looked like the most popular email list service provider and every big marketer was using it.

Most likely I am slow in making this post but yesterday I night I saw the page rank update taking place for MWolk.com and its subsites. I can see the changes across all datacenters so its indeed a page rank update which I was expected since the last one has happened in Feb 2009 and normally PR updates in 2009, not that that it matters or make any difference to me.

Overall its been a happy update since MWolk Blog and India Blog got both PR 3 and I see many internal pages getting page ranks too. If you owns a site or blog, you can also see if the site page rank had updated or not. If you gained some PR, its good, if you lost, don’t worry, you are not losing anything. From my past experience I can safely say that for blogs, page rank don’t matter much whether its PR2 or PR4.

Google has slightly changes the way it delivers feed emails to the subscribers, well not a change actually, just a addon. Now they are showing a big “Add to Google” link just above the feed links. When you click on this Add to Google, the feed ads to your iGoogle desktop.

Another good example of how to take leverage from one of your web properties to make other do well from Google. Its also interesting to see how Google is creating a Google web where the user always stays with Google.
