SpeedTest.net is a great website that allows you to check your connection speed for free. Open http://www.speedtest.net/ and the website will automatically identify your location and will suggest the nearest location for testing. Testing from the closest location is important as this ensures the speed test is an accurate one.

The website also lists your IP address and your service provider. Make sure the IP address is the right one or else your test will not be accurate.

In the past, I had talked about TVU and how you can watch news channels for free online on your desktop and laptop. Now there is also sopcase which do the same. Google offers a form where you can report Paid and Spam links to Google and google can reset pagerank of such pages to 0 or at least will manually review the page. To do this -

1. go to your your Google webmaster account and in this form, enter paidlinks in additional details along with filling the url of the page at the top. From whatever I know, Google do manually review such complaints and take action including resetting the page rank.
