Enable Task Manager from Registry

Sometime, due to some malware or virus disable the Task Manager option and we can’t open it. Even the key combination CTRL+ALT+DEL fails. In such cases you can enable it easily from registry.

[1] Go to Start Menu -> Run and on the Run dialog write down “REGEDIT” (without quotes) to open Registry Editor.

Manually Remove Windows Service

By default hundreds of Windows services started soon after we start our system. But, most of these services are not quite essential and simply use system resources like physical RAM, processor. You can stop and remove these services manually and quite easily.

[1] First go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools
[2] Here double click on Services icon to get the list of services

Spam on Hubpages

Hubpages which is often compared with squidoo and which has often said that they have better quality and spam control as compared to squidoo seems to be getting filled with spam pages now. There are tons of pages related to India (and created by Indians of course) which contains nothing but spam keywords and phrases.

It seems people use google trends to find what is currently hot and quickly create a page on hubpage with nothing on it but some repeated words along with images and may be some download link and due to strength of root domain, these pages rank very easily. Here is one such page.

Avoid Eye fatigue due to Computer Screen

If you are like me, who wears glasses and works all the time in front of computer, the chances are, after working for long hours, you must have started feeling eye fatigue, heaviness, redness and even water coming out from it. This happens if your eyes get too dry, specially if you are working on those age old CRT monitors (which you should have thrown out of window by now). LCD are very cheap nowadays and you should look to move on to them.

How to Type Special Symbols

While building websites and working on web, I often needs to type special symbols and characters which are not on the keyboard and to type them, I often had to use ALT key. So if you are looking for to type special symbols and characters on your computer and are wondering how to do it, this post is for you.

In general computer systems with English language use a character set popularly with is known as US ASCII or ASCII. Currently a default character set ISO 1 has introduced that can display special characters for different region. These character sets comes as an encoded set in table with a positive number associated with each character.
