YouTube has just changed the way it displays related videos and now the topmost video in related videos block is going to be Featured video, most likely a video for which Google is getting paid to show.

Now I am not sure it is such a great idea specially if the Featured video is not very related to the video being watched right now. For example if see below, the featured video look out of place.

An Indian site diggflicks which is a video uploading site, heavily uses adbrite, an advertising program like adsense which can be used on any site, even on adult and warez site. If you are tired of looking those flamed irritating comments on almost all youtube videos, you can disable it by install a simple firefox addon and a javascript code.

1. Install the Greasemonkey plugin from here (mozilla’s site)
2. Restart firefox
3. Install Disable Youtube Comments script from here (userscript.org site)
4. You are done, From now on, no youtube video will show you any comments.
