I installed the latest version of Yahoo Messenger yesterday, version 9.0.0.2128 and realized that there is small feature added into it from the past version of 9. Now Yahoo has started showing ads in the chat window!

Here is one example of such yahoo chat ads -

I am not sure when did it started but looks to be a new feature. Unfortunately it looks to be very disappointing, as its intrusive and on your face and is very unrelated. I mean I am talking to someone in USA about programming and I am getting ads of Import/export from Italy ? atleast like msn messenger, they can do the localization and show local ads (getting unrelated local ads are fine to an extent).

Personally I have never been a great fan of ads in messengers, specially in chat window as they are even worst then those popups and ads in videos. Also these ads can not be removed/stopped from appearing. I hope yahoo do something about them.
