In the last post I had wrote a little rant that how I still hasn’t received my adsense check yet and why I am not worried much since this is not the first time this has happened to me but for first timers or people who need the money urgently, they may get worried easily with delay of a week or two as the postal services of third word countries like India, Philippines, Romania, Pakistan is not that great and AdSense checks often get lost or reach after such a long time that the check gets expired!

So if you are facing similar problem, here is a step by step guide to how you can recover your Lost and expired adsense check -

1. Firstly you want to wait at least one month from the time the check has been sent, Most of the Google adsense checks are sent on 25th of the month so wait till 25th of the next month before contacting google. Many times due to holidays, the checks takes time to arrive.

2. If you still don’t get your check after one month, its time to contact google adsense team. You can contact them through this page (no phone support unfortunately). While asking for canceling the check, you will have to give details of check number. To know that, go to your google adsense account My Account -> Payment History and select the month for which you want to know the details. It will look like this

The payment number is your adsense check number so just tell that while submitting the form to adsense.

3. Most likely you will get a mail confirming that the check has been canceled and the money has been credited back to your account. Sometimes you may get some followup questions, in any case, the adsense support is pretty good and friendly, so you won’t have lot of trouble.

4. For expired checks too, you need to do the same thing, tell them that you didn’t received the check in time and now its expired, give them the check number and they will reissue another check.

that is it. I will highly advice you to always chose DHL over ordinary postal service as this will make sure timely delivery of your checks. If you are concerned about $25 fees being too high, don’t withdraw your checks per month but every three month.
