Adsense often do lot of testing on its ads and ads format including changing font size. Here is an example of different font size adsense ads seen on same page having same adsense code -

It is also interesting to see after testing with google changing ads (users had the option to change the ads by clicking on an arrow), google have discontinued them, probably for good reason as honesty making users change the ads doesn’t make lot of sense.

Another thing to note about the ads shown at the top is that the ad on the right has 3 lines in it instead of 2 ? hence the font got smaller to accommodate the extra line. The number of characters also are more then 35! I haven’t used adwords enough to comment on what is going on here though. If anyone knows then please tell me in comments
