Anger Management Therapy
Anger management assists in curing various physiological and psychological changes caused by excessive aggression in a human body. These include various health problems such as rapid heart beat, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, heart attack, chronic headaches, digestion problems and depression. Antagonism or anger typically results in domestic violence, road rage, workplace violence, divorces and addictions. Anger management is essential for personal growth of an individual since it helps in bringing him/her back to a normal state of well-being.

1. Find a safe spot: A person should understand the fact that screaming, yelling or shouting at friends or family members, breaking crockery, slamming doors etc is of no use and the situation might get worse. You should sit alone for sometime and carefully think about the incident that made you angry. Soon you will be relieved from the stress and tension.
2.Take deep Breath: Take deep breath whenever you get angry instead of shouting and yelling. By taking deep breath, you will definitely start feeling calm, composed and strong both, mentally and physically. Later on you can take your decisions and discuss it with others as well.
3. Count to ten: Start counting from one to ten, when you get angry. It may sound funny or annoying but it is considered as one of the best tips that assist in controlling anger. It is advised that a person should not take decisions when he or she is angry.
4. Take a break: When you are calm and composed, you can take better decisions than when you are agitated. Each time you get angry move away from that place or sit quietly for some time or take a walk. Then talk about the problem and search for its solution.
Side Effects of Anger
• Anger leads to various physiological and psychological problems like stress and depression etc. Depressed people usually do not take good care of their health and get indulge in self destructive or vicious activities. These include excessive smoking, drinking, overeating and many others. People become less enthusiastic which leads to poor performance at work place or at home.
• Aggressive people often use abusive language that may hurt other person and it might result in worsened situations that include fights and destruction of property.
• Those who are very short tempered usually make a negative impact of a person in their minds and never speak in their favor. Anger creates a feel of prejudice and suspicion in other person’s mind which can sometimes quite hard to change.
• There are a large number of people who find difficulty in expressing their anger so they end up with self-destruction. This situation might lead to severe health hazards such as depression, bipolar disorder etc.
Things to do when you are angry
• Try to control yourself and push back the anger. Make an effort to calm down.
• Share your feelings and emotions with those who love you. One can write down the all the negative and positive points about the situation that made him/her angry.
• If you have children or pets at home then play with them which can help you overcome anger.
