Last week I had made the list of people on twitter with highest followers and CNN and Ashton Kutcher were going Neck to Neck. Now this competition has gone serious as both Ashton Kutcher and CNN has said that they want to reach one million follower mark first (its all friendly). Here is a video of Ashton Kutcher talking about Twitter and how he is going to ding dong ditch (ranging the bell and running away) News Corp owner Ted Turner.

Not only this, but now Oprah Winfrey too has joined into twitter after probably seeing fellow talk show host Ellen Degeners having huge following (TheEllenShow is at at #6), she has invited Ashton Kutcher to talk about twitter on Ophraw Winfrey Show. There is speculation that Evan Williams, CEO of Twitter will also come on the show.

Anyway all this media coverage must be doing wonders for Twitter which is still not making any profit but with twitter going mainstream, the investors must be enjoying all this and they can expect much higher evaluation, you never know, may be at par with facebook!

Fun Trivia - CNN was not the owner of twitter ID http://twitter.com/cnnbrk and had to bought it from twitter.

Edit - And Ashton Kurcher has won the race of 1 million twitter followers beating CNN well I was one of the 1 million so I will take this as my win too.
