Bukisa, Hubpages, Articlesbase are Nofollow

many article sites like Bukisa, Hubpages, Articlesbase are Nofollow which leads to the questions whether you should submit content to them since you are not getting anything in return, specially from articlesbase which don’t even allow revene sharing like hubpagess and bukisa.

This dofollow/nofollow thing is pretty messy and article directories do not deliberately disclose this that the links are nofollow which means search engines won’t crawl them. Now this questions the integrity of the article directory which do not tell this to the submitter who thinks he is getting a link from the site (though these links contains very little quality still dofollow is always better then nofollow).

I have never been a great fan of these article directories since I always found them too cheesy and useless and other then may be 5,the rest all are useless and most of the content is copied but still if the submitter is not getting anything back in return for his effort then which he thinks he is getting, then these sites should certainly inform their users about links being nofollow (but they won’t for obvious reasons)

So in short, if you are submitting articles to Bukisa, Hubpages, Articlesbase for backlinks, do not do it, you are wasting your time and money, you won’t get anything from them.

Actually - Hubpages will be do follow if your author score is above 75 and your hub page score is above I think 40. So, it’s not necessarily a waste of time, you just have to have more than a passing commitment to make your profile at the site rate well.

FYi Avery is right, hubpages is a dofoolow provided that you have a hubauthor score of over 75, then your hubs are dofollow, also if a hub goes below 40 then it is nofollow. To get above either numbers you need to acutally work at it.

I’m wondering if article marketing is dead. What do you think? I have released articles before, and some of them did show up in the Google News feed for my keywords for a short period of time, but other than that, my site didn’t really get a boost of any kind. Has that been anyone else’s experience?

About the articlesbase, i’ve check it out that it has dofollow section(About the Author), but it still foggy: if there’s a backlink in “About the Author”, I found that from the article page “View Source”, there are 2 same source code about “backlink in About the Author”, it’s strange, one is dofollow, and another is nofollow. Anyone noticed that?
