What is Good CTR

I just made a post on What is good eCPM and felt to write a similar post about what is good CTR as they both go hand in hand.

CTR stands for Click Through Rate and it the ratio of number of clicks on the ads divided by number of times ads were served multiplied by 100 (as CTR is represented in percentage)

Adsense not Showing Relevant Ads

In the past, I had talked about google adsnse is showing unrelated adsense ads on this blog. So after weeks, I can see the ads are still not very targeted. This is certainly has to do with the main niche of the site and this blog being a part of it, google adsense is getting confused.

Less Ads = More Money in Adsense ?

yes, this is very much true and is often acknowledged by insiders that instead of putting more ads, use less ads and you will have more earnings. The logic is fairly simple, different advertisers pay different amount for every click and those ads which are high paying are shown at the top.

Now if you use only one ad unit with 3 ads in it, lets say they are of $1, $0.75 and $0.5, then for every click you are assured that you will make atleast $0.5 (take the bottom image as an example)

Unrelated Google Adsense Ads
