Change Printer Cartridge
I owns a HP All in One printer and scanner I know for first timers its never easy to change the printer cartiridge as you just don’t get it where to put what.
Almost every personal user and in office, people uses Inkjet and Deskjet Printers and often we need to call an expert to install a new cartridge when you can do it yourself without any experience. so Just follow simple steps below to know how to change printer cartridge.
- If you are sure that your printer cartridges are empty, purchase original available cartridge for your specific model.
- Turn on your printer and open the printer cover. For general printers like HP, Canon etc. the cartridge holder will automatically move to the center position after opening the front cover like the screenshot below.
- Now, simply put your finger at the top of the installed cartridge and press gently towards bottom and it will be detached from the panel. Also make sure there is no paper on the tray.
- For few certain models and brands, you will get a notch and you can remove the cartridge simply by pressing that.
- For some Epson models you need to lift the cartridge holder to de-touch the cartridge.
- Now after removing the old cartridge, unpack the new one and gently remove the tape from the bottom of the cartridge.
- Now insert the new cartridge on the holder and (make sure you are placing it in proper direction like the old one) and gently press it to position. Few models come with arrow pointers at the holder to show you the correct way.
- Now just close the front cover and clean the cartridge/ alignment etc from your printer software and take a test print.
- Also most printers come with a guide how to replace the cartridge on the manual book. Try to follow that if you have any problem while installing the new cartridge.

Whilst there are a great number of variant products on the market today there still seems to be a lack of explainations of what type of cartridge is on offer. Toner cartridges vary so much today that it is nearly impossible for a user to take an informed decision. Major differences are :
-is the cartridge chipped or unchipped ( which means it can produce the same communications as the OEM product )
-does it contain a new OPC drum
- has it been print tested
- is it covered by a comprehensive warranty
