Configure Bluetooth Mouse in Dell Studio Laptop

Here is a step by step guide to configure bluetooth Mouse in Dell Studio or any laptop as a matter of fact -

1. Make sure your bluetooth mouse has the battery and are not dead. If you see the base of the mouse, you need to move the green tab from 0 to 1. This will make the blue light start blinking which means the bluetooth mouse is working fine. But this is only the half part done.

2. In you taskbar (lower right hand side), double click on Bluetooth devices button (third from left in the image).

3. It will open the dell bluetooth devices

Here you can see I have two devices enabled, bluetooth mouse and headphone. For you, most likely it won’t show anything.

4. Now you have to add the bluetooth device. Fro this, click on add button and follow the steps. If your bluetooh mouse is working, it should get recognized easily otherwise follow the step 1 once again. You can add the passkey as 0000 or anything or leave it. its used for safety purpose so others can’t use your bluetooth hardware.

5. Once the configuration wizard finishes, you should start seeing bluetooth mouse in the devices. You may have to enable it by selecting it and clicking on properties.

6. You may also be required to restart the laptop.

Most liketly this should configure the bluetooth mouse to your laptop. If you are facing poblems, then you may like to contact Dell customer support. You can also ask your questions in comments here.
