Csrss.exe
csrss.exe is a Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP generic process that is located amongst the windows files in the System32 files inside the dllcache; it stands for Client/Server Run-Time Subsystem. It is used by the system in the operations of managing the graphical instruction sets. And it is mainly responsible for Win32 console windows and threading; in more details, it is responsible for creating and/ or deleting threads. Also, it is responsible for some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment. So it’s obvious that the csrss.exe is a vital process for the proper functionality of the operating system.
Though, csrss.exe is a Microsoft Windows useful process that is essential to the proper running of some applications as long as it is vital for the operating system and though terminating it can result in a failure in the system, so don’t try to disable it or delete it using the task manager and in most cases the system won’t allow you to delete it, in spite of all this, csrss.exe is a double edge weapon, depending on how it was written and where it is located. Sometimes, it can be reported as a Trojan or a virus or a worm and even a malware, if it isn’t located in the pre specified location, as an instant, if it was found in the startup folder, this location can’t be a legal location for a windows essential process.
