Google keeps track of our searches thorough profile, session and cookie management and sometimes we don’t want to leave any traces and footprints of our search queries, specially on shared computers. So if you want to delete google search history, here are few options -

Internet Explorer 6

1. Open the IE 6 and go to top Menu-> Tools -> Internet Options
2. Now select the content tab
3. Here on the content tab you will get AutoComplete button
4. Just click the Clear Forms button

Internet Explorer - 7 and 8

1. Go to top Menu-> Tools -> Internet Options
2. You will get a Delete button on the main window.
3. Just click the Delete button and a new window will appear
4. Here you’ll get an option “Form data” just select this and click delete

Firefox 2 and 3

1. Open “Clear Private Data” from Tools menu or press “Shift+Ctrl+Del”
2. On the Clear Private Data window, you will get the option “Saved Form and Search History” just check this and click the button “Clear Private Data Now”

Safari 2 and 3

1. Select “Preferences” from the Safari menu
2. Now click the Autofill tab
3. Next click the Edit button after the “Other forms” checkbox
4. Here you can select Google.com from the list
5. Now just click Remove and Done

Basically Internet Explorer and Firefox will delete all forms data, but only on Safari you will get the option to select specific site.

To stop google keeping log of your searches in your profile, you can stop personalization through settings. It is always advisable to never login into google through public computers as all google services are connected and once some get into your account, he can get into all your profiles and sensitive data.
