Eat more Vegetables

Vegetables are well known for their nutrient content and benefits to the human body. There are many people surviving with vegetables and are reported to be at best of their health. It is unfortunate to realize that despite of abundance of vegetables and fruits, many people have been fighting with health hazards. The solution to any kind of dietary problems simple ends with the suggestion that is to eat more vegetables. The low calorie content and the variety available make it much easy for anyone to maintain good health.

People are recommended to eat more vegetables when:
a)    To lose weight
b)    Stop overeating
c)    Feel active
d)    Decrease meat consumption and calorie intake.
Although it is difficult to eat more vegetables and inculcate a habit, here are some recommended ways to stick to it:
a)    Make the vegetables easily available, we should not be searching for them when hungry. Searching for food tends to distract us to junk and fast food that are bad for health.
b)    Make it a habit to serve the vegetables in good plates and decorative manner.
c)    The habit of overeating reduces as we are not able to eat vegetable more than our hunger
d)    Try serving vegetables in fancy shapes and sizes.
e)    Learn making salads, as they are the best diet. The decoration makes us feel the urge to eat more vegetables.
f)    Go for more variety in vegetables. Same items in diet makes in monotonous and boring, compelling us to look for something different.
g)    Use shredded carrots of broccoli in diet with right amount of sauce to enhance the taste.
h)    When going for a change, use some vegetables to accompany our meat consumption.
i)    While serving, try to hide the vegetables in some cake or other food item so as to distract the attention.
j)    Try cooking different variety of foods, with different taste. Learning and experimenting keeps us busy and we do not pay much heed to non-veg items.
Following the above tips it becomes easy for us to tighten the diet for someone or follow the same for ourselves. We will definitely realize the benefit of the habit to eat more vegetables shortly.
