Enable Task Manager from Registry
Sometime, due to some malware or virus disable the Task Manager option and we can’t open it. Even the key combination CTRL+ALT+DEL fails. In such cases you can enable it easily from registry.
[1] Go to Start Menu -> Run and on the Run dialog write down “REGEDIT” (without quotes) to open Registry Editor.

[2] Now on the Registry Editor Navigate to the following HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
[3] Now at the right section you will get the option Disable Task Manager. Double click this icon. If it is disabled then you will get the Value Data set to “1”. Now to enable, just delete “1” and type “0”.

That’s all. In this way you can re-enable Task Manager from Registry.
On the other hand, you can also enable the Task Manager option from Group Policy editor, in case the above method does not works for you.
[1] Again go to Start Menu -> Run and type “GPEDIT.MSC” and hit enter.
[2] Now on the Group Policy window, navigate to the following
- Go to the User Configuration
- Select Administrative Templates
- Select System
- Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
[3] Now on the right section you will get Remove Task Manager option. If it is enabled then disable it.
