Enlarged Uterus

Enlarged uterus is one of the most commonly seen problems among women, specifically for the older women reaching menopause. Several things can lead to this problem, which include unexpected tissues that may cause enlargement of uterus by diffusing the uterine bladder.

It is very easy to discover the problem of uterus enlargement, since a bulging formation occurs within the uterus that is mainly misunderstood as the signs of pregnancy. The reason why women have a misconception of enlargement of uterus as pre pregnancy signs is the severe abdominal pain that a lady faces. This problem can often lead to severe pain, resulting in enlargement, and aimed towards the bladder.

Enlarged Uterus Causes

The problem of uterus enlargement can occur among women suffering from several health-related issues or are on medications. Severe pain and abdominal bloating is very-well associated with the fibroid. The size of women uterus is same as the size of a fist of an individual. Uterus enlargement leads to swelling of the uterus walls and in turn extends the size to bloating. There are three factors that lead to enlarged uterus, these are:

* Menopause: When a woman reaches the phase of menopause, can also lead to uterus enlargement. This occurs because of the hormonal change that takes place within the body that in turn can results in fluctuating the level of hormones that may be misunderstood as pre-pregnancy signs. Several times uterus enlargement results from sexual activities but these conditions may not last for long periods.

* Fibroid Cancer: This is a type of tumor that grows within the approximate area of uterus, resulting in the unwanted growth of the uterus. Such growths comprising polyps within the area that can also lead to certain distortions on the uterus walls that further can result in enlargement and swelling as well.

* Complications from surgeries: Sometimes after the surgery in close proximity to pelvis area, can also lead to the problem of enlarged uterus. If a scar is left-behind after a surgery, it may cause endometriosis commonly known as infection. This infection around the pelvis area can often cause enlargement and swelling of the uterus.

In order to treat the problem of enlarged uterus, one can undergo various tests such as blood tests, physical examinations and diagnostic imaging. Herbal supplements are another method to treat this problem of uterus enlargement.

    Can one with this problem still have a child,especialy if it occurs in a young married woman.

    I will highly advice you to consult your doctor as enlarged uterus do causes complications during child birth
