What is EVP
These are voices and sounds which come out of electronic recordings for no evident reason. These sounds are electronically captured & resemble voice communication, but are not intentionally recorded. Some people link EVP to supernatural causes, saying that these sounds are induced by communications from ghosts and spirits.
Others suggest that these sounds may be some technical glitch in the recording system. Some people refer EVP as “Raudive voices,” in a citation to Konstantin Raudive, a researcher who worked on the field of EVP. Raudive suggested that EVP communications were communications from the deceased. Some say it is from the extraterrestrials world or energies of nature. Some say they are beings from other dimensions.
The Common sources of such sounds include static, isolated radio transmissions and background noise. They are sometimes recorded by increasing the gain of the recording device for the background noise. Humans cannot pick up this sound as the frequency of the sound signal is too high. Animals like dogs can hear this as their ear drum is designed for hearing higher frequencies.
Most accounts of EVP can be categorized as either extrasensory, defining the source of the speech, or non- extrasensory. Explanations of the latter one usually postulate (except for hoaxes) that there is actually no ‘voice’ at all, only the fantasy of a voice because of various effects.
There are a several straightforward technological explanations that may describe as why some listeners to these audio devices may believe they hear voices.
Some researchers say it is the electrical noise created by electrical devices - in order to create white noise. This, in the combination of things such as cross modulation of radio station or faulty ground loops which can cause the effect of paranormal voices. It can also be due to such as noise as a result of over-amplification of a signal at the time of recording. There may me anomalies in capturing audio signals may have errors such the previous content gets super imposed and get mixed with the new recording.
Signal Interference, is encountered in certain EVP recordings, especially on those recorded on devices which incorporate RLC circuitry in broadcast sources.
