So as per techcrunch, Facebook is not being evaluated at 2 Billion USD by VC for next round of funding which is steep low from their previous evaluation of USD $15 Billion when Microsoft had invested money in them.

Of course since then time has changed alot and with the economy of the world not doing that great and fifteen billion always considered to be ridiculously high, 2 billion evaluation does seems very less, considering that fact that Youtube was sold for 1.5 Billion and it was leaking money, not to mention Facebook does have more revenue streams in hand than youtube has.

I am kind of surprised that why still Facebook has launched Facebook Premium account and service with much better features as launching such account with few dollars per month can easily make them millions per month.

Getting investment with evaluation of 2 Billion also won’t appeal to current investors as this will reduce the value of their own investment. So in ideal terms, Facebook should look to get internal funding from some other sources or should seriously starts thinking about money generation from the site through various value added services. Facebook can easily foolow linked model of professionals, job hunting and even build something like a review site yedda or yahoo answers!
