Find how your site looks in Differnet Browsers

As a full time webmaster and blogger, I do spend lot of time looking at others and my websites and I can safely say that no matter how good the designer was, almost every site looks differently in Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari etc. The reason being, not only that there are so many browsers but all these browsers themselves have lot of versions with various parsing engines and many of them don’t support many dhtml and java script functions.

Anyway if you are one such blogger or designer who is paranoid about how his site looks in various browsers, they can use this Free Service called BrowsersShot using which you can take screen shots of your website or blog on all major operating systems and browsers, so you can see how your site looks in all the operating systems, on all the browsers with all the versions on different resolutions.

To use BrowserShots, you just need to enter your url, it will put your site in a queue and will ask you to refresh the page after few minutes to get all the screen shots.

The delay is caused because of heavy load as daily Browsershots is used by over 20,000 people and because it uses more then 1 machine to split the work (actually its a very interesting concept on which Browsershots work and you should look to know more about it, it works alot like SETI)

You can keep the window open and do other work and after 10 to 20 minutes depending on how many options you had chosen, you will see all the images on the page.
