Firefox Crashing after Plugin Installation
From the early days of firefox 1.5.x where firefox used to crash with almost any plugin, it has come a long way to be more stable browser now but this doesn’t mean it doesn’t crash anymore. Yesterday I installed ReminderFox which is an excellent plugin if you regularly uses firefox as it can give you reminders like “make a call at 12:30 pm” or pay bill at 5 pm etc.
I have used this plugin and is one of the best firefox addon for sure specially for people who work as full time freelancers as it makes you more organized, the problem is, it is crashing firefox 3.5.9. The moment I installed it, firefox is crashing in every 10-15 mins, at first I thought it might be some bad page with lot of javascript but after 4-5 crashes, it was obvious that the plugin is not fully compatible with some one dozen other plugins which I have installed.
anyway so if you are also having firefox crashing problem, the chances are, your latest plugin is not compatible with your currently installed plugins. Lot of people say that the plugin is not compatible with your current version of firefox but that is not true as firefox crashes due to incompatibility of multiple plugsin. Ofcourse if you are installing plugin from non mozilla site then yes, the badly written plugin can crash your browser, and worst, can steal your identity too.
