The Britain native local BBC channels are included in the Free to Air programs along with the Free to View digital channels like TMF,4Music and Sky sports News etc.,
Free to View needs a specific digital viewing card to watch the digital channels like TMF, 4 Music and Sky Sports. But free to View doesn’t collect any fees for these special digital channels. We need to perform a one time purchase to buy this digital viewing card. As well as to receive Free to View channels one require a Digital Box similar to the receiver box of the cables TVs along with the Digital Viewing card.
Sky is the only nation wide provider of Free to View channels in Great Britain. Sky provide the required digital boxes and digital viewing cards. These two components help people watch wide range of channels including FTA channels with some other specific digital channels only viewable with the help of the digital cards. Free to view has been developed using low power signal frequencies, it is a technical challenge to use Free to view digital cards and digital boxes to add any new analogue signals if required in the future.
Free to View is an evolving satellite channel technique available only in Great Britain.
