Now Microsoft is also moving towards introducing new powerful website analysis tool like Google Analytics. It’s Microsoft Gatineau and quite likely to compete with the most powerful and popular Google Analytics. This project is started mainly for Microsoft AdCenter publishers and advertisers. Gatineau is initially based on a technology which was developed by DeepMatrix, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006.

Gatineau, as said is going to be a direct competitor of Google Analytics but it will not be an exact copy of that Google program though the target audience will be extactly same. Gatineau comes with few distinct and innovative features. It will offer in depth details like gender and age specific demographics, but don’t worry, the analysis will never touch any kind of personal information.

• Windows Live ID can be integrated with Gatineau

Microsoft already had invitied people for free beta testing of Gatineau which is closed now and this testing will provide data up to December 30, 2009.  Above screenshots are from the undergoing beta testing. Though specific launching date is not yet announced by Microsoft, but expected to lunch by the first quarter of 2010.
