Google Analytics is undoubtedly the foremost, most popular and advanced free traffic analysis service available on the net and almost every webmaster is using it including all type of bloggers.

But the problem with google analytics is that it don’t have the basic version of it, so it shows way too many graphs and data which is probably not required by many of the bloggers. Most of the people only look for 3 things -

1. How many unique visitors have come to the blog as well as how how many page views it has got.
2. Amount of traffic to pages like which pages got highest number of traffic and how much.
3. The combined daily, weekly and monthly traffic on the blog
4. Referrars i.e. sites which are sending traffic

Now if you are one of those who find google analytics to be too advanced and with way too much information, you can use WP Stats plugin for your wordpress blog.

Wordpress.com stats plugins gives you your basic blog stats like the above four and it shows you on your dashboard. Its a really good and accurate plugin and I know many bloggers using it along with google analytics on their blog.

You just need to install it, activate it and enter your api key (the same one as of akismet plugin) and that’s it. It will start showing the stats on your dashboard.
