Google has increased its Adwords Activation and Prepayment fees for Indians. Earlier to open an adwords account, you need to pay Rs 60 but now you have to pay Rs 250 where as the minimum amount you need to pay to start your adwords campaign is not Rs 500 which was earlier Rs 120.

As per google post, the activation fees has been increased to bring it in par with adwords activation fees of other countries where as the increase in prepayment fees was done to stop adwords campaigns getting stopped very soon as Rs 120 runs out very fast.

As per Google, Now with Prepyament fees of INR 500, the campaign will run for longer period and the people will have the time to see the results and further continue their campaigns.

I think increasing the prepayment adwords fees for Indians is a good decision as Rs 120 indeed seems to be very low and most of the people anyway will run out of budget in 24 hours.
