Being a power user of laptop. my keyword often gets very dirty with dust all over. The dust comes from open windows and doors as its hard for me to work without natural light. So every day before I start my laptop, I thoroghly clean all the dust and keys of my laptop.

The reason why I am so paranoid about keys and laptop is that, other then the laptop being a very important part of my life and work but dirty keyboard of laptop don’t make me comfortable working on it. I could always feel the dirt and dust on it which distracts me. Secondly, if you don’t cleaan the keyboard and keys of your laptop, the dust will surely go inside it which is not good in long run.

Here are few tips you can follow to clean your keyboard of laptop -

1. Before cleaning your laptop, always make sure it is switched off and not recharging. That is why I always clean it before starting to work. I have made it a routine and you can also do this.

2. Take a clean dry soft cloth and start cleaning the keyboard borders (not keys) from inside to outside. Don’t do the otherway around or else all dust will go in the keys.

3. Cleaning the keys is the tricky part. What you can do is, first gently blow in parallel with the surface of the keys to blow away the lighter dirt and dust particles. After that you can use a clean part of a dry cloth to clean the keys.

4. You can also tilt your laptop lightly to get the dirt out. Though it is advisable to not do it often.

5. You can also buy brushes specially made to clean laptop keyboards and key edges.

That is it, these tips should help you cleaning your laptop keyboard. In the end, always make sure you never use wet cloth to clean it as it can damage the internal part of your laptop.
