Internet is filled with url shortening services like tinyurl, bit.ly, dot.tk, urlshort etc as well with many big sites offering similar link shortening serivces like digg, facebook etc, now the problem is, many times, spammers use these services to hide spam or affiliate links or some other nasty trojans and worms, the problem is, there is no way you can first view the links before really clicking on them. I wish these services would provide this feature, anyway a quick workaround for this is to use proxies,

For example, if someone sends you a url http://bit.ly/qwerty then you can open any working proxy from http://mwolk.com, put the url and view the link first. I often do this when I get suspicious links coded with url shortening services.

By the way, for TinyUrl, you can use add preview subdomain in any url to see where the url leads too, for example, if the url is http://tinyurl.com/3absd52 you can use http://preview.tinyurl.com/3absd52 to first see where the link takes you too.
