How to Stay Healthy working Online

I spend around 14 hours a day in front of my laptop and for the last few months I have started seeing its repercussions with loss of fitness and health of mine. I have gone to doctor almost once a month in the past 6 moth for different reasons either with fatigue, back pain, headache, full body pain, stomach troubles etc.

The problem with working online is that almost all the time you have to sit on a chair looking at your screen and typing. Now like me, I am sure others too don’t get any kind of exercise as well as nutritious food or proper diet at right time.

I have figured out that 5 biggest reasons why my health was suffering as an online entrepreneur are (at the end of this post you can see what I am doing to get over this) -

1. No fixed time to sleep and wake up - I had no fixed time when to sleep and when to wake up. I tried to get a routine many times but it never worked out. I often works with US based clients so I need to follow the US timezone which didn’t helped things much either.

2. Not taking nutritious food - Irrespective of me making decent money, I wasn’t getting very nutritious food and was too much on junk diet and colas

3. Not caring much about surrounds and hygiene - Well my working room is a total mess as well as my bedroom, I was spending all my time in front pf my laptop and then used to go to bed and then next morning again used to start working on laptop. I don’t think I really ever cared about dirty bedsheets or how unclean the whole room is.

4. No exercise - I never spent a single minute running or working out light exercises. The whole idea of sweating and feeling tired just never appealed to me as exciting.

5. Mind is too preoccupied and Not Free - Because of me spending way too much online and continuously thinking of work, I often felt tired mentally and since its your mind which makes you feel good or bad, the decline in health was obvious.

So what I did to fix my problems and to get back on track and again become healthy ? well this what I am doing currently -

1. I am trying to get a routine and also taking little breaks from works to go out. Its not possible for me to get the 10 to 6 routine but still I am trying to be way more organized with time and wiill also advice other web online entrepreneurs, webmasters and workers to do the same.

2. I am taking much healthier diet now and have absolutely stopped drinking colas and now only drink natural fruit juices. I have also got diet supplements which should give me some proteins as I felt that I am not getting enough proteins. Also I am eating few eggs and bananas daily, not latter is not necessary, its just that they are cheap and reasily available. You just need to go to fridge and get one at anytime. I will advice you to eat banana with milk to get good carbohydrates. As far as eggs are concerned, take out the yolk (yellow part) as it has lot of cholesterol and eat albumin only.

3. Well I do clean my room daily now as well as sleeps on clean bedsheets. I have removed lot of unnecessary stuff from the room which I felt was making the room very filled. You can also do the same to your room. Sleeping in spacious room always helps giving sound sleep.

4. For me, getting some exercise is still difficult but now days I take 10 minute walk daily to get eggs and juice. I tries to go out early at say 7 am to get the fresh air. I think you guys can also do this. If you can afford it, may be you can get a ab crunch or similar exercise device. Personally I am not a great fan of these machines but it can work for you.

5. I tries to take less tension of work and have started telling myself that I am on right path of success and is doing well, just keep working hard and take less worries. I have noticed that most of the people who worries about various things are worried about things which are probably never going to happen. Still they just keeps on thinking about them and takes way too much pressure and this starts taking a toil on your brain and always remember that you can’t work if your brain can’t work. So I have stopped worrying about too many things, specially small, trivial things which barely matters.
