How to Install fonts on Mac
Although Mac has over $10.000 worth of quality fonts you may require some more. This operation in the same for both PostScript and TrueType fonts but for PostScript you will have two files for each font (printer and screen).
New fonts
First you need to have fonts to add. You can download free ones from 1001fonts.com, dafont.com of or fonts500.com. Gather them in one folder
Install fonts on Mac
You have three ways now:
-open each font individually and then click “Install Font”;
-copy the fonts to Library/Fonts/ to make them available to all users. You need Administrator privileges to do this;
-copy the fonts to Users/Library/Fonts to make them available to a certain user.
You are ready to go, you don’t even have to restart your applications, the fonts will appear in your drop box.
