Well as per Techcrunch, these are just not just rumors or speculation but the chances of Google buying mcroblogging platform twitter are very real. As per techcrunch, the buyout can be in the range of USD $250 million, almost half of what facebook was offering last month.

Though twitter refused facebook’s offer as facebook was offering its shares which are considered to be highly overpriced, compared to that, google is looking to offer full cash deal, which may be liked by the investors and owners of Twitter.

Twitter is an interesting service actually since at the moment it don’t generate any revenue but I think google is the only company who can get something out of it and make it a good deal, just like youtube one. No matter what people say about youtube not making money for Google, but owning Internet’s biggest property was a great move by google, they have already got lot of leverage from youtube and will keep doing it. Similarly can be done with twitter, instead of putting adsense everywhere, lets use the data and real time information and use it to give better results.

Twitter has a huge following and people love to tweet latest breaking news and happenings. Now the same news are also searched by people in google news, so google can always use this information to make its results better and more real time. USD $250 million is also a perfect price as its not very high for google and for this price, they will be owning another Internet’s big property.
