No Audio Device

The first step to solving your “no audio device” problem lies in first finding out about your audio system.

If you have a set of external speakers you should make sure that it is switched on and connected to the computer. For the internal speakers you will need to look at the other reasons why the “no audio device” detected message has appeared.

When a “no audio device” message appears the first item that you will need to do is to check the computer’s BIOS. The audio setting should be at auto mode. At this point you should see if you have installed the right type of audio drivers. You can find this information from the user’s manual which usually comes with the driver.

Another reason for the “no audio device” message being displayed is that you have possible loose connections. These loose connections mean that your computer can not detect or read the audio drivers, which is why you will see the “no audio device” message being displayed. To ensure that this is not the problem you will need to look in the computer’s interior. You might also want to see if the sound card is the right one and it is installed properly. This is yet another reason why you might get a “no audio device” message.

Having found out what is causing your “no audio device” problem you will be able to download this needed software from the website of the device’s manufacturer. Take this step only after you have ensured that there are no other problems which have caused this “no audio device” malfunction. When you are downloading audio driver software you must make sure that it is compatible with the drivers that you have. Otherwise you will still see the “no audio device” message on your computer’s screen.

Another way to solve this “no audio device” problem is to use an external data storage device. You will need to place the audio drivers within this external device. After you have placed the audio drivers within the external storage item you will then be able to place this storage container within an easy to remove location in the computer. This step should help you resolve the “no audio device” problem.

For this solution you will also need to ensure that the drivers and the software being used are compatible. Once the audio device and the external data storage device have been placed in your computer you can see if you still receive the “no audio device” message. If you have tested all of these options and you still get the “no audio device” message box then it is time to see about getting a new audio device which will work with your computer’s motherboard and maybe also look into buying updated compatible software.
