OpenDNS Blocking Sites - Unable to open Websites

Lot of people suddenly finds that OpenDNS has started blocking many sites, say adult or warez without any prior notification and you starts wondering what happened ?

Well the problem is, you may not have changed the settings but someone else who is using your IP may have changed his opendns settings to block such sites and since openDNS is IP based and not cookie based, all the computers having that IP will too have the same settings.

This is a common problem in India and with ISP like Airtel, to solve this problem, just reboot your router and it will reset the IP to something else and you should be open and browse all sites again using opendns. If this don’t work, reset it couple of times and do flush your windows DNS cache using this command from RUN

C:\>ipconfig /flushdns
