I had started my online journey back in 2004 as a freelance programmer. Since then I have done coding, designing, consultancy on web frameworks, SEO, SEM, handling lead generation campaigns for various clients, being a Mod of one of the biggest forum on web, wasting countless number of hours on digg and 4chan :D and building and selling websites.

Building websites and selling them can be a good business if you know the business model and where (and who) has the money. The business model is not that simple to build a website, get it traffic and sell it. It is like saying build a plane, find a client and sell it.

Topix Forum is filled with Religious hate against India

Whenever I visits India forum of Topix, I only see hateful threads against certain religions, cast, creed of India. Because the forums are unmoderated (and I am pretty its been done intentionally) and because it allows anonymous posting, topix forum has become home of spammers and kids who post all kind of hateful rubbish and its shocking that nothing is being done about this as its getting worst.

Business of Proxy websites

I had built my first proxy website when I was in college just for fun and to see whether I can bypass college firewall settings or not. it was built using phpproxy (it is dead now unfortunately, both the script and my site)

Worlds Cheapest car launched

Tata nano was officially launched yesterday and it has hit the headlines all over the world. Tata nano is INR 100,000 car (around USD $2000) and is looking to target the huge middle class of India which drives two wheelers.

Tata’s were talking about a budget small car for the past 3-4 years and initially people felt that its not possible to launch a $2000 car unless you heavily compromise on the quality or make it 2 seater, but against all odds and with all the problems in singur, west bengal (the plant which was supposed to deliver tata nano got stuck in politics and tata had to move the plant!), they managed to deliver tata nano. The bookings for Tata nano will be starting from 9th of april till 25th of april and Tata is very bullish about it, as they are expecting to have around million bookings in first round.

Localhost not working but 127.0.0.1 does

This happens many times on windows, both XP and Vista when you are running a web server, say apache and are trying to access local websites using http://localhost, it don’t work and gives error as Connection TimeOut but if you access the site as http://127.0.0.1, it works.

I had faced similar problem with individual install of apache on my windows XP and with XAMPP on windows Vista too. It took me hours to find the actual problem. Here is what you want to do if you are not able to access local websites through http://localhsot but through http://127.0.0.1
