Paypal doesn’t get down often and when they do, they always inform its users (one thing which they do right I guess) but today Paypal was down and giving Internal Server error.

I was about to pay my bills and the moment I finished submit, I was hit by this Internal Server error. The problem is, thankfully, I was not sending money to anyone as I did hit refresh 2 times which repeated the transaction. I am surprised that paypal has no mechanism to avoid such repetition of transaction by mistake ? I am sure paypal will be back in few minutes but really, what if the person who is making a transaction of sending some money to someone refreshes the screen multiple times ?

I think paypal can show a timer that in next 10..9..8…..2..1 second, the service will be down for few minutes to people do not do any transaction.
