Every one of us must be aware of police impounding cars. But are really aware as to why police impounds cars? In fact lots of people are not sure why cars are impounded by the police, rather than just putting a fine on them. If you are facing police impounds, then definitely you have missed paying some fines. It may be parking fine, tow fines or any other infractions. So here is what is expected to do when you face such condition:

a) Don’t be late. Try and locate where your car was taken.

b) Enquire and find out how much fine amount is pending for you.

c) The police also charge you for storing your car. You are supposed to pay the storage fee also.

d) Sum up the amount and pay in the impound lot.

e) In case you have your car being towed, then you have to enquire in the towing company.

f) Find the details, pay the fine and get your car back.

Police impound car sales: If you do not walk to the police to claim your car for a prolonged period. They have every right to sell your car after a fixed period of time. These cars are sold at car auctions and are held by the government agencies. The concept of selling seized cars is simply to empty up the space which is filled daily by police impound cars.
