Most of the DVD movies available in the market do not allow you to record the movie on your hard drive as to prevent illigale making of these movies. But now it is possible to record any movie from a DVD by using a DVD converter of DVD Ripper. A DVD converter provides you a facility of recording movie in the same format or different one making another copy on your hard disk.

Here is a step by step guide to record DVD movies by using DVD converter. Here we are using Ultra DVD converter to show you the recording process.

1. Firstly , you have to  install any DVD converter availbe on internet.  All the DVD converters have a facility to rip  any DVD  movie and save it to your computer.
2. When the DVD converter software has been installed completely, just start that software.

3.  Select the type of output for the converted DVD video present in the drop down list on the rigt side of your converter display screen. Other options are also available offering movie conversion for different devices such as ipod, Apple TV and others

4.   Now after that, you have to insert the required DVD into the DVD drive of your computer or laptop. To stop the auto run of your DVD movie in your default DVD player press and hold shift key. When you feel that the disc is completely loaded and your computer has finished the loading process then click on Open DVD button present on the left down side of your DVD converter software (Ultra DVD).

5.   When you click open the above panel will be shown. Here you have to select that folder where your DVD movies is stored. All the DVD movies are stored in the same folder name “VIDEO_TS”. When you find that folder then select the folder and press ok.

6.   Now you can select those item that you want to record  form the DVD menu.

7.   After selecting all the items and click on convert. That will start the recording.

8.   Now when recording will be finished you can close the converter software and play your DVD movie form your computer’s hard disk.
