How to Reinstall Internet Explorer

In order to install IE, you will need an Internet Explorer installer file. The newest one for Internet Explorer 8 can be found here. However, if you would like to install an older version of IE that you’re more familiar with, any of the older version can be found at a site called OldApps.com. A link to the Internet Explorer download section is located here. They have older Internet Explorer downloads ranging from IE 8 all the way to IE 3.0, which was for use with the Windows 3.1 operating system (going all the way back to 1996). The OldApps link also contains some of the newer beta versions as well. Once you’ve got the Internet Explorer downloaded, double click it and then follow the installation wizard from there.

Internet Explorer should install itself and you should be ready to go and back in proper order again. Happy browsing!

On a side note, if you’re feeling a bit adventurous or are simply looking for something new, you can try using the Mozilla Firefox web browser. It has tons of features just like IE, and also is known for it’s security and browsing speed. The latest build, Firefox 3.5, can be found at Mozilla’s website.
