Remove Formatting while Copying with PureText

PureText is a very useful, free and light weight application that allows us to copy any text to clipboard without retaining the existing format. It copy as simple text like notepad. Sometime, we use notepad to remove formatting. Like, if we want to copy raw text from webpage then first we copy and paste it on notepad and again copy the text from notepad. Basically, PureText performs the same operation. Many times, we face problems like, if we want to copy some text from a certain website and paste it to Microsoft Word. Then sometimes it takes a long time and on few occasion it creates tables. It’s really annoying and we then need to remove all formatting. But, with PureText you can simply copy the text without formatting. So when you paste it on application like Microsoft Word, there will not just the raw text and nothing extra.

Once we start PureText, it stays as a Taskbar icon. By opening the PureText option window you can set hot keys for copy and paste with PureText. Also, if you like you can include PureText program on startup so that it will open automatically each time you start you computer.

PureText basically performs following operations:

[1] Removes rich formatting from text you copy like font face, font style and color, paragraph styles, alignments, margins, character spacing, bullets, subscript, superscript, tables, charts, pictures etc.

[2] PureText will not remove or include new lines or tabs or white space.

[3] If you copy the source code like the HTML source of any webpage then PureText will remove all HTML tags.

PureText supports almost all versions of Windows, from Windows 9X to Vista. It’s a very light weight program and uses very less system resources so you can use this utility without any hesitation.
