Remove Recent Searches
Few days back we discussed about the way to delete Google search history. It’s all about your privacy and now we are going to tell you how to remove the Recent Search Items on your local machine. Sometime, we don’t want to leave any proof about the items we had searched for specially on public computers like college lab, cyber cafe etc. For example, see the image below, where just by typing “m” it’s displaying all items searched starting with the letter “m”

You can remove all recent searched items on Windows PC easily by following steps below …
[1] Go to Start Menu -> Run and type REGEDIT and hit enter to open Registry Editor.
[2] Now on the Registry Editor, navigate as follows HKEY_CURRENT_USER/ Software/ Microsoft/ Search Assistance
[3] Under the Search Assistance folder you will get a folder named ACMru.
[4] Now under ACMru you will get folders like 5603, 5604 etc. Simply click on this folder and you will get all recent search items at the right panel. Now simply select all and delete or simply only delete the item you want.

That’s all and now all your search items removed. Actually Windows stored all items you searched on the local machine on that ACMru folder for further assistance.
