Removing spyware manually is a tedious task and ideally you want this job to be done by downloading and installing spyware removal software’s, most of them freely available.

But sometimes these spyware removal programs are unable to completely or partially remove the spyware files & they need to be deleted manually. Here we will discuss the manual process to remove a spyware.

Removing Spyware Manually

If your spyware removal application has failed to remove the spyware, it is recommended restart your pc in “Safe Mode” by clicking the F8 key simultaneously at boot. This will forbid the spyware to be loaded into the memory when the computer starts.

Now when you are in the safe mode, follow these steps for the spyware removal.

Step 1: Click on “Start” button located on bottom left of your screen.

Step 2: Navigate to “Control Panel” button and open it.

Step 3: Now The Control Panel window will pop up.

Step 4: Now find “Add or Remove Programs” or “Programs Uninstall/Install” in Vista and Double click on it.

Step 5: The “Add or Remove Programs” window will show a list of currently installed programs on your PC.

Step 6: Find the spyware program that is installed in your computer and then click over it to select.

Step 7: Now click on “Uninstall” button & follow the instructions to uninstall the spyware program from your PC.

Step 8: Rebooted you pc for the changes to take place and this time start in normal mode.
