Strengths of Vizio GV47LF

The Vizio GV47LF is a 47 inch LCD TV, which probably has the best looks in the entire Vizio family. It is one of the most inexpensive LCD TV in its size range. The speakers are detachable which gives a great option, wall mount and hook it up with your own sound system.

The remote control has back light which makes it easier to use in the dark. The menus are sufficient and most adjustments are effective. It offers all the necessary connectivity option needed by any user. The Vizio GV47LF gives excellent color accuracy and the performance in standard definition is better than average.

Weaknesses of Vizio GV47LF

Vizio GV47LF with its speakers attached is huge in size. The remote control is cluttered with identical buttons for direct access to functions. The preset modes for color temperature are not accurate. It does not give accurate black levels and the shadow details are poor in quality. Blacks tend to be bluish. There are limited aspect ratios available in high definition mode. It has below average VGA output when a PC is connected to it. It has a slight problem with false contouring.

My Opinion of Vizio GV47LF

The Vizio GV47LF has a pretty weak standing when it comes to performance and quality, but still it is a good choice with its low price.
