Strengths of Vizio L42

The Vizio L42 is a 42 inch LCD TV which is pretty much acceptable in appearance and is available at a very affordable price. It has detachable speakers which reduces its dimensions. The remote control has direct access keys for different inputs and can operate three other media devices. The menu is full of user friendly features to please anyone.

The back light adjustment is a great feature available in Vizio L42 which is ideal for setting the TV’s output light and can save you some electricity bill. It has picture in picture feature and a freeze mode available. It has several connectivity options, enough to satisfy anyone’s connectivity needs. It has great image results comparing to its price. It gives near to perfection black levels and the primary colors are really very accurate.

Weaknesses of Vizio L42

The remote that accompanies Vizio L42 is very ordinary in appearance and full of identical buttons, that too without a back light. The temperature preset controls produce below standard results. The aspect ratio modes are just average. There are minor issues with the shadow details and some what color temperature shortcomings which give false contouring.

My Opinion about Vizio L42

The Vizio L42 is a great buy for its price with great features and very good image results.
