Riding a Bike

As a kid, we were so excited when we learned how to ride a bike. The feeling that suddenly we are able to ride on two wheels around the compound and streets without dad or mom looking with red eyes is simply awesome.

Riding a bike can be a hobby and apart from that it can be quite beneficial for the body as it is considered to be a potential exercise. But what happened to us as we grow up, lack of time? No way, it’s just the fact that we look for comfort. It is important that we should realize the benefits of riding a bike so as to enhance the urge to do so.

Here are some benefits of riding a bike:
a)    Cycling helps a lot in maintaining lean and healthy physic.
b)    A great exercise for cardiovascular system. Regularly riding a bike can be work wonders as it activates the cardio system and helps in metabolism process.
c)    It is recommended that we spend 30 minutes of cycling that can compensate many aerobic exercises.
d)    It is better to have a bike with different levels or rather options of speed, so that we can test our cardio system and make it cope with the speed variation.
e)    Riding a bike on terrains is considered even more useful as it exerts more pressure and energy.
f)    Cycling can be very useful for joints. We often complain of joint pains with growing age, and regular cycling can be a good practice to avoid this. Regular cycling allows for movement of bones and allows for the plates to move resulting in avoiding jams to occur in the joints especially in the knee region.
g)    The benefits of riding a bike is considered more when compared to jogging or running and tends to give less strain.
h)    Blood circulation is enhanced to higher levels.
i)    They help in maintaining the shape of leg muscles and stamina is increased.
j)    Make sure that the seat height is adjusted properly so that it does not cause pain when riding for prolonged period.
k)    It enhances sense of balance and strengthens the abdominal muscles.
With so many benefits it is inevitable that riding a bike is advantageous in all possible angles and in no way harms us.
