I am sure you must have noticed many blogs and site showing twitter feed counter just like feedburner counter which shows number of twtiter followers the account has. Now twitter can be a really good source of traffic in many ways and having good number of followers always help in gaining more traffic and more followers in which this twitter counter widget can really help.

To get such widget which shows total number of twitter counts, you can use twittercounter service which like feedburner offers code to show twitter subscribers. Here is a imageshot of sidebar of this blog and how it looks after installing the twittercounter code

The only problem with this is that the javascript code loads very slow so if you put it in sidebar, there is slight delay in loading that sidebar which kind of sucks. Another thing which I didn’t liked about this counter is that it points to twittercounter link rather then twitter but I guess that is understandable.
