This is not a very common plugin but can be fun for travel related websites or blogs which deals with lot of countries and related things about these countries.

Post Country wordpress plugin enables you to post a country flag against each post. Users can put country flag to reflect his/ her location, what they are talking about, upcoming events or any other related themes. It completely depends upon you infact to determine where you want to display this country flag. By making some simple addition to your wordpress template, this plugin will allow you to insert country flag icon on posts.

Now, one nice feature is that if that flag is being click, it will take the user to a list related to that particular country. Also, you’ll see a sidebar widget which creates popup to redirect to posts form that country. This widget has one single option, a page identifier and when you set to the ID of a page, a link is shown under the popup list of countries in the widget.

To record a country against a post you just need to add a Custom Field to the post with Key = Country and set Value to the name of that country. Keep in mind it must be the same as the name of the flag icon file. For an example to display the UK flag you have to set the value=UK. You can browse the “plugin/country/Flags” folder for the whole listing.
