Transfer money from paypal to ICICI, HDFC or Axis bank in 3 days through Xoom

In my last post, I had talked about how the paypal problem is almost resolved minus the withdrawl to bank problem, now for those of you, who are too lazy to deposit a check in their bank or don’t trust indian postal services, they can use xoom.com which is a money remitting service, it is there for years in existence, I have used it many times and I am very impressed with the way they work.

You just need to fill your bank details and can initiate the transfer of money from paypal to your local bank in matter of 30 seconds and the overall transfer takes about 72 hours, which is still faster then paypal. They do have a high fees though but they offer much better exchange rate as compared to paypal so better exchange rate makes up for high fees. Anyway if you are withdrawing big amount, you won’t care about few dollars as fees specially if the transaction is going smoothly.

Xoom also has excellent 24×7 support by mail or phone, and I know this post sounds alot like xoom paid post :) but it is not. It is shame that due to paypal monopoly, xoom is not able to do that well as it deserves.

Hi Aniket, sorry, I had not checked the comments for few days. Did you got your answer ? if not, from 20th Feb, xoom has officially stopped Indian paypal users sending money to India, so you can not send money to yourself from your own paypal account, which is very unfortunate but this was xoom’s policy right from start, so we can’t complaint. Right now there is no option left but to withdraw money by check
