Instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8

Step 1: Close all internet explorer windows and any application using the browser.

Step 2: Now click on the start button. This will show the start menu. In the search box type “Appwiz.cpl”. The search result will show a program with the name. Click on it and a task pane will open.

Step 3: Now in the task pane navigate to “View Installed Updates” on the left hand side under tasks & click on it. All the updates on your Pc will show up in the Window.

Step 4: Search & click on “Windows Internet Explorer 8 Release Candidate 1”.Click on the yes button of the alert window to uninstall the update. Restart you pc for completing the un-installation process.
Now you Internet Explorer 8 will automatically revert to Explorer 7.

Steps to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Step 1: Similar to the previous process Close all programs.

Step 2: Click on the Start button and scroll down to Control Panel.

Step 3: Click on Add or Remove Programs icon.

Step 4: An indexed list of installed programs will appear. Click on Windows Internet Explorer 8 & choose Remove option.

Step 5: Follow instructions to restart your pc for the changes to take place.
